Executive Coaching

Who executive coaching is for

Executive coaching supports people in senior leadership roles. This includes C-suite executives such as CEOs, CFOs and COOs, as well as Managing Directors, Managing Partners, Senior Partners and HR Directors. In many cases, executive coaching also includes leadership coaching.

For over a decade, we have worked with senior leaders in demanding roles. As a result, we understand the pressure, responsibility and expectations that come with leading at this level.

The reality of senior leadership

Senior executive roles are challenging. Leaders often carry complex decisions, high expectations and competing demands. In addition, these roles can feel isolating and mentally exhausting.

Because of this, many executives have limited space to pause, reflect and think clearly. Executive coaching provides that space.

A confidential space to think clearly

We create a confidential and trusted environment where executives can explore their thinking openly. Here, clients can focus on what needs to be done — or undone. They can also examine what needs to be said or left unsaid, and what needs to be held back or fully expressed.

Importantly, all coaching conversations remain strictly confidential.

What executive coaching can help with

Executive coaching can support a wide range of goals. For example, clients may focus on:

  • Growing their leadership capability

  • Improving interpersonal and stakeholder relationships

  • Designing and delivering business strategy

  • Strengthening business and client management skills

  • Building resilience and managing pressure

  • Stepping into a new or expanded role

As a result, coaching helps executives perform more effectively and sustainably.

How the coaching process works

Executive clients identify the personal and professional areas they want to improve. From there, we work together to set clear goals and agree practical strategies for action.

Often, clients use their coach as a sounding board. They test ideas, explore challenges and work through decisions in real time. Importantly, they can discuss issues they may not feel comfortable sharing with colleagues, friends or family members. This is what makes the coaching relationship unique.

Pre-programme executive questionnaire

Before coaching begins, clients complete a pre-programme Executive Coaching Questionnaire. This provides a clear snapshot of their personal and professional situation.

The questionnaire often helps clients quickly identify strengths and development areas. In addition, it highlights unhelpful patterns of thinking or behaviour that may be limiting success at work or in life.

As a result, the coaching starts with clarity and focus from the outset.
